2021-02-05Add TRNG Firmware Interface serviceJimmy Brisson
This adds the TRNG Firmware Interface Service to the standard service dispatcher. This includes a method for dispatching entropy requests to platforms and includes an entropy pool implementation to avoid dropping any entropy requested from the platform. 2020-10-09Don't return error information from console_flushJimmy Brisson
And from crash_console_flush. We ignore the error information return by console_flush in _every_ place where we call it, and casting the return type to void does not work around the MISRA violation that this causes. Instead, we collect the error information from the driver (to avoid changing that API), and don't return it to the caller. 2020-07-26SMCCC: Introduce function to check SMCCC function availabilityManish V Badarkhe
Currently, 'SMCCC_ARCH_FEATURES' SMC call handler unconditionally returns 'SMC_OK' for 'SMCCC_ARCH_SOC_ID' function. This seems to be not correct for the platform which doesn't implement soc-id functionality i.e. functions to retrieve both soc-version and soc-revision. Hence introduced a platform function which will check whether SMCCC feature is available for the platform. Also, updated porting guide for the newly added platform function. 2020-05-15plat/arm/fvp: Support performing SDEI platform setup in runtimeBalint Dobszay
This patch introduces dynamic configuration for SDEI setup and is supported when the new build flag SDEI_IN_FCONF is enabled. Instead of using C arrays and processing the configuration at compile time, the config is moved to dts files. It will be retrieved at runtime during SDEI init, using the fconf layer. 2020-05-13SPMD: extract SPMC DTB header size from SPMDOlivier Deprez
Currently BL2 passes TOS_FW_CONFIG address and size through registers to BL31. This corresponds to SPMC manifest load address and size. The SPMC manifest is mapped in BL31 by dynamic mapping. This patch removes BL2 changes from generic code (which were enclosed by SPD=spmd) and retrieves SPMC manifest size directly from within SPMD. The SPMC manifest load address is still passed through a register by generic code. Signed-off-by: Olivier Deprez <olivier.deprez@arm.com> Change-Id: I35c5abd95c616ae25677302f0b1d0c45c51c042f

2020-03-06TBB: Add an IO abstraction layer to load encrypted firmwaresSumit Garg
TBBR spec advocates for optional encryption of firmwares (see optional requirement: R060_TBBR_FUNCTION). So add an IO abstaction layer to support firmware decryption that can be stacked above any underlying IO/ packaging layer like FIP etc. It aims to provide a framework to load any encrypted IO payload. Also, add plat_get_enc_key_info() to be implemented in a platform specific manner as handling of encryption key may vary from one platform to another. 2020-01-10Unify type of "cpu_idx" across PSCI module.Deepika Bhavnani
NOTE for platform integrators: API `plat_psci_stat_get_residency()` third argument `last_cpu_idx` is changed from "signed int" to the "unsigned int" type. Issue / Trouble points 1. cpu_idx is used as mix of `unsigned int` and `signed int` in code with typecasting at some places leading to coverity issues. 2. Underlying platform API's return cpu_idx as `unsigned int` and comparison is performed with platform specific defines `PLAFORM_xxx` which is not consistent Misra Rule 10.4: The value of a complex expression of integer type may only be cast to a type that is narrower and of the same signedness as the underlying type of the expression. Based on above points, cpu_idx is kept as `unsigned int` to match the API's and low-level functions and platform defines are updated where ever required Signed-off-by: Deepika Bhavnani <deepika.bhavnani@arm.com> Change-Id: Ib26fd16e420c35527204b126b9b91e8babcc3a5c
2019-12-20spm-mm: Refactor secure_partition.h and its contentsPaul Beesley
Before adding any new SPM-related components we should first do some cleanup around the existing SPM-MM implementation. The aim is to make sure that any SPM-MM components have names that clearly indicate that they are MM-related. Otherwise, when adding new SPM code, it could quickly become confusing as it would be unclear to which component the code belongs. The secure_partition.h header is a clear example of this, as the name is generic so it could easily apply to any SPM-related code, when it is in fact SPM-MM specific. This patch renames the file and the two structures defined within it, and then modifies any references in files that use the header. 2019-09-13Refactor ARMv8.3 Pointer Authentication support codeAlexei Fedorov
This patch provides the following features and makes modifications listed below: - Individual APIAKey key generation for each CPU. - New key generation on every BL31 warm boot and TSP CPU On event. - Per-CPU storage of APIAKey added in percpu_data[] of cpu_data structure. - `plat_init_apiakey()` function replaced with `plat_init_apkey()` which returns 128-bit value and uses Generic timer physical counter value to increase the randomness of the generated key. The new function can be used for generation of all ARMv8.3-PAuth keys - ARMv8.3-PAuth specific code placed in `lib\extensions\pauth`. - New `pauth_init_enable_el1()` and `pauth_init_enable_el3()` functions generate, program and enable APIAKey_EL1 for EL1 and EL3 respectively; pauth_disable_el1()` and `pauth_disable_el3()` functions disable PAuth for EL1 and EL3 respectively; `pauth_load_bl31_apiakey()` loads saved per-CPU APIAKey_EL1 from cpu-data structure. - Combined `save_gp_pauth_registers()` function replaces calls to `save_gp_registers()` and `pauth_context_save()`; `restore_gp_pauth_registers()` replaces `pauth_context_restore()` and `restore_gp_registers()` calls. - `restore_gp_registers_eret()` function removed with corresponding code placed in `el3_exit()`. - Fixed the issue when `pauth_t pauth_ctx` structure allocated space for 12 uint64_t PAuth registers instead of 10 by removal of macro CTX_PACGAKEY_END from `include/lib/el3_runtime/aarch64/context.h` and assigning its value to CTX_PAUTH_REGS_END. - Use of MODE_SP_ELX and MODE_SP_EL0 macro definitions in `msr spsel` instruction instead of hard-coded values. - Changes in documentation related to ARMv8.3-PAuth and ARMv8.5-BTI. 2019-04-12Mbed TLS: Remove weak heap implementationAmbroise Vincent
The implementation of the heap function plat_get_mbedtls_heap() becomes mandatory for platforms supporting TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT. The shared Mbed TLS heap default weak function implementation is converted to a helper function get_mbedtls_heap_helper() which can be used by the platforms for their own function implementation. 2019-02-27Add support for pointer authenticationAntonio Nino Diaz
The previous commit added the infrastructure to load and save ARMv8.3-PAuth registers during Non-secure <-> Secure world switches, but didn't actually enable pointer authentication in the firmware. This patch adds the functionality needed for platforms to provide authentication keys for the firmware, and a new option (ENABLE_PAUTH) to enable pointer authentication in the firmware itself. This option is disabled by default, and it requires CTX_INCLUDE_PAUTH_REGS to be enabled. 2019-01-04Sanitise includes across codebaseAntonio Nino Diaz
Enforce full include path for includes. Deprecate old paths. The following folders inside include/lib have been left unchanged: - include/lib/cpus/${ARCH} - include/lib/el3_runtime/${ARCH} The reason for this change is that having a global namespace for includes isn't a good idea. It defeats one of the advantages of having folders and it introduces problems that are sometimes subtle (because you may not know the header you are actually including if there are two of them). For example, this patch had to be created because two headers were called the same way: e0ea0928d5b7 ("Fix gpio includes of mt8173 platform to avoid collision."). More recently, this patch has had similar problems: 46f9b2c3a282 ("drivers: add tzc380 support"). This problem was introduced in commit 4ecca33988b9 ("Move include and source files to logical locations"). At that time, there weren't too many headers so it wasn't a real issue. However, time has shown that this creates problems. Platforms that want to preserve the way they include headers may add the removed paths to PLAT_INCLUDES, but this is discouraged. 2018-09-04Prepare Mbed TLS drivers for shared heapJohn Tsichritzis
The Mbed TLS drivers, in order to work, need a heap for internal usage. This heap, instead of being directly referenced by the drivers, now it is being accessed indirectly through a pointer. Also, the heap, instead of being part of the drivers, now it is being received through the plat_get_mbedtls_heap() function. This function requests a heap from the current BL image which utilises the Mbed TLS drivers. Those changes create the opportunity for the Mbed TLS heap to be shared among different images, thus saving memory. A default heap implementation is provided but it can be overridden by a platform specific, optimised implemenetation. 2018-05-04AArch64: Introduce External Abort handlingJeenu Viswambharan
At present, any External Abort routed to EL3 is reported as an unhandled exception and cause a panic. This patch enables ARM Trusted Firmware to handle External Aborts routed to EL3. With this patch, when an External Abort is received at EL3, its handling is delegated to plat_ea_handler() function. Platforms can provide their own implementation of this function. This patch adds a weak definition of the said function that prints out a message and just panics. In order to support handling External Aborts at EL3, the build option HANDLE_EA_EL3_FIRST must be set to 1. Before this patch, HANDLE_EA_EL3_FIRST wasn't passed down to compilation; this patch fixes that too. 2018-02-26Introduce the new BL handover interfaceSoby Mathew
This patch introduces a new BL handover interface. It essentially allows passing 4 arguments between the different BL stages. Effort has been made so as to be compatible with the previous handover interface. The previous blx_early_platform_setup() platform API is now deprecated and the new blx_early_platform_setup2() variant is introduced. The weak compatiblity implementation for the new API is done in the `plat_bl_common.c` file. Some of the new arguments in the new API will be reserved for generic code use when dynamic configuration support is implemented. Otherwise the other registers are available for platform use. 2018-02-26Add image_id to bl1_plat_handle_post/pre_image_load()Soby Mathew
This patch adds an argument to bl1_plat_post/pre_image_load() APIs to make it more future proof. The default implementation of these are moved to `plat_bl1_common.c` file. These APIs are now invoked appropriately in the FWU code path prior to or post image loading by BL1 and are not restricted to LOAD_IMAGE_V2. The patch also reorganizes some common platform files. The previous `plat_bl2_el3_common.c` and `platform_helpers_default.c` files are merged into a new `plat_bl_common.c` file. NOTE: The addition of an argument to the above mentioned platform APIs is not expected to have a great impact because these APIs were only recently added and are unlikely to be used. 2017-11-08SPM: Introduce Secure Partition ManagerAntonio Nino Diaz
A Secure Partition is a software execution environment instantiated in S-EL0 that can be used to implement simple management and security services. Since S-EL0 is an unprivileged exception level, a Secure Partition relies on privileged firmware e.g. ARM Trusted Firmware to be granted access to system and processor resources. Essentially, it is a software sandbox that runs under the control of privileged software in the Secure World and accesses the following system resources: - Memory and device regions in the system address map. - PE system registers. - A range of asynchronous exceptions e.g. interrupts. - A range of synchronous exceptions e.g. SMC function identifiers. A Secure Partition enables privileged firmware to implement only the absolutely essential secure services in EL3 and instantiate the rest in a partition. Since the partition executes in S-EL0, its implementation cannot be overly complex. The component in ARM Trusted Firmware responsible for managing a Secure Partition is called the Secure Partition Manager (SPM). The SPM is responsible for the following: - Validating and allocating resources requested by a Secure Partition. - Implementing a well defined interface that is used for initialising a Secure Partition. - Implementing a well defined interface that is used by the normal world and other secure services for accessing the services exported by a Secure Partition. - Implementing a well defined interface that is used by a Secure Partition to fulfil service requests. - Instantiating the software execution environment required by a Secure Partition to fulfil a service request. 2017-10-16GIC: Add APIs to set interrupt type and query supportJeenu Viswambharan
The back end GIC driver converts and assigns the interrupt type to suitable group. For GICv2, a build option GICV2_G0_FOR_EL3 is introduced, which determines to which type Group 0 interrupts maps to. - When the build option is set 0 (the default), Group 0 interrupts are meant for Secure EL1. This is presently the case. - Otherwise, Group 0 interrupts are meant for EL3. This means the SPD will have to synchronously hand over the interrupt to Secure EL1.
